About Scala

Scala Biodesign is developing ScalaOS, a next-generation protein design software platform that is transforming how scientists engineer proteins across therapeutics, diagnostics, materials, food, and sustainable chemistry.

ScalaOS unites physics-based modeling, AI, and evolutionary data in one intuitive environment, enabling R&D teams to design stable, high-performing proteins. By making computational design accessible to any scientist, it accelerates innovation in drug discovery, enzyme development, and biomanufacturing.

Originating from research at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Scala works with global leaders in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemistry, and food production to advance protein design worldwide.

Founded in 2022 and backed by top-tier venture capital investors, Scala is growing rapidly and building a team to bring its platform to scientists everywhere.
