Our growing global team of over 200 employees is committed to creating a workplace that celebrates diversity, encourages teamwork, and strives for excellence.

We’re looking for an experienced Director of Web to lead our full-stack engineering teams and own the strategy, architecture, and delivery of our web platform. You’ll set technical direction (front end and back end), scale microservices, and coach high-performing teams shipping secure, reliable, and beautiful web experiences.

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:

  • Lead & grow teams: Manage, mentor, and hire full-stack squads (TLs, and ICs). Drive career development, 1:1s, and performance culture.
  • Set architecture: Define a modern Angular front-end architecture and Node.js/TypeScript back end across microservices (APIs, gateways, shared libraries).
  • Own the roadmap: Partner with Product/Design to prioritize outcomes; translate business goals into engineering plans with measurable impact.
  • Raise the bar: Establish coding standards, design reviews, and SDLC best practices (testing, CI/CD, trunk-based development).
  • Operational excellence: Own availability, latency, and cost KPIs; implement observability (logs, metrics, traces) and incident response.
  • Security & compliance: Champion secure coding, authN/Z, data privacy, and dependency governance.
  • Quality at scale: Drive test strategy (unit/integration/e2e), performance budgets, accessibility, and responsive UX standards.
  • Technical sponsor: Guide system design (caching, queues, messaging, data contracts), decompose monoliths, and oversee migrations.
  • Stakeholder management: Communicate trade-offs and delivery plans to execs; align cross-functionally with Data and Infra.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading managers and/or multiple teams.
  • Startup at scale experience- success leading web platforms in startup or scale-up environments.
  • Deep, recent experience with Angular (signals/standalone components preferred) and Node.js/TypeScript services.
  • Proven track record designing and operating microservices in production (API design, service discovery, resiliency patterns, rate limiting).
  • Strong foundation in cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), containers (Docker), and Kubernetes; CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab/Jenkins).
  • Experience building performant, accessible SPAs; mastery of web performance profiling and optimization.
  • Data & integration fluency: REST/GraphQL, event streaming (Kafka/Pub/Sub), relational + document stores.
  • Excellent people leadership, hiring, and coaching skills; history of building inclusive, high-trust teams.
  • Clear communication with executives; comfortable with metrics, OKRs, and ROI framing.
  • Experience collaborating with algorithms and ML groups - advantage
