Controp's analytic group is seeking an exceptional computer vision researcher to support advanced research and development projects that require algorithm and software development for military and defense payloads
Primary Responsibilities:
Define, develop, and deliver innovative solutions for a wide range of challenges that include applications in image processing, computer vision and signal analysis. Specific responsibilities include:
Lead development and implement video motion detection, target aquations, single and multi-object tracking, anomaly detection and other advanced computer vision algorithms on PC and GPU architecture
In collaboration with other teams, lead implementations across various sets of computer architectures
Conduct performance evaluations, carry out internal testing, and provide support for deployments at customer sites around the world
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience. At least 3 years in object tracking
Experience with C or C++ is required
Familiarity with standard math and computer vision libraries (e.g., BLAS / LAPACK / OPENCV, etc.)
Excellent interpersonal and communication (presentation & writing) skills
Familiarity with thermal imagers is a plus
Familiarity with different computer architectures (GPU/FPGA/distributed computing), operating systems, Unix/Linux, etc. is a plus
Education:
Candidates are required to have at least a BSc in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Applied Mathematics
MSc or PhD is a plus
