Wenrix is seeking a Data Science Team Lead with extensive experience in Machine Learning and team leadership to guide our innovative group of scientists.

In this role, you will lead a talented team of data scientists, mentor their growth, and set the technical direction for solving high-impact problems. You’ll balance hands-on research and algorithm development with guiding the team to deliver production-grade AI solutions that fuel Wenrix’s business goals.

What Will You Do?

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
• Drive the design and development of AI algorithms from conception to deployment, ensuring scalability and robustness.
• Conduct and review hands-on research, analyzing massive airfare-related datasets and extracting actionable insights.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data science for new products, optimizations, and revenue impact.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to translate prototypes into reliable production systems.
• Set best practices for model development, deployment, and monitoring, ensuring reproducibility and high standards.
• Play a key role in strategic planning for the data science roadmap and its alignment with Wenrix’s business goals.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team.

What You Bring

• 7+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or related fields, with strong expertise in tabular data.
• Proven experience leading and managing teams of data scientists or researchers.
• Proficiency in Python and deep familiarity with modern ML/DL frameworks and statistical methods.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying end-to-end ML/DL pipelines in production environments (EDA, training, inference, monitoring).
• Strong track record of delivering business impact through data-driven solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
• BSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree (MSc or PhD) is an advantage.
