Lenovo Digital Trust Lab seeks for a hands-on and innovative Device, Infrastructure and Services Security RD researcher to bridge the gap between advanced research and practical implementation. In this key role, you will support our Device, Infrastructure, and Services Security programs, transforming cutting-edge security and AI research into working prototypes and solutions.

You will work across disciplines to identify emerging threats and develop effective, AI-driven defensestranslating theoretical ideas into practical, real-world impact.

Job Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of cybersecurity and AI to research and implement novel techniques for threat detection, mitigation, and trust enhancement.
  • Drive the end-to-end research-to-prototype cycle: from ideation to proof-of-concept development and validation.
  • Support product-aligned teams by developing security solutions for devices, infrastructure, and services.
  • Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and product leaders to integrate security features into real-world systems.
  • Maintain awareness of the latest research and technologies in security, AI, and trust, and evaluate their relevance for our innovation pipeline.
  • Produce clear technical documentation and research reports for both internal and external audiences.

Minimum Requirements

  • Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and cybersecurity principles, with a passion for their intersection.
  • Proven ability to research, design, and develop cybersecurity products and solutions, from concept to deployment.
  • Programming Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Python and 2 years in C++.
  • Platform Experience: Demonstrated experience working with Kubernetes, containerized environments and database technologies.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and optimize scalable software solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in Endpoint / Network / Data security
  • OS Internals Windows / Linux
  • Malware Tactics and Techniques: Ransomware, RAT, Infostealers, Anti-Virus Evasions
  • Experience in Web Development: JavaScript/React, Node.js / Django
