Description


We're seeking a Networking Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and operate the mission-critical networking backbone that powers Check Point's global SASE platform. In this role, you'll manage enterprise-scale data center network infrastructure, working with cutting-edge routing and switching technologies that deliver secure connectivity to businesses worldwide.


You'll be responsible for architecting and maintaining complex network environments using Juniper MX routers and QFX switches, Dell OS10 platforms, and advanced routing protocols including BGP peering and troubleshooting. Your expertise with Linux routing daemons (FRR, BIRD, GoBGP/ExaBGP) will be essential as you optimize network performance and implement high-availability solutions across our infrastructure.


Working at ISP and Cloud Provider scale, you'll leverage Infrastructure as Code to automate the deployment and configuration of network equipment, monitor performance using tools like DataDog and Prometheus, and ensure seamless integration with Kubernetes networking fabrics such as Calico. Your role extends beyond traditional networking to include firewall administration and security appliance management, directly supporting Check Point's cybersecurity mission.


This position offers the opportunity to work with some of the most sophisticated networking technologies in the industry while solving complex connectivity challenges that impact millions of users globally. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain 24x7x365 production systems and participate in on-call rotations to ensure continuous service delivery.

Major Responsibilities

  • Plan, deploy, maintian, and optimize the organization's data center infrastructure, including routers, swtiches, firewall, servers and SAN/NAS units.
  • Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) that deploys, scales, configures, and updates Data Center equipment, expecially, switches, and firewalls.
  • Monitor network and system performance, detect boåttlenecks or connectivity issues, and implement necessary solutions.
  • Debug issues both in production and in labs. Create, test and validate solutions.
  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to guarantee network security, uphold data integrity, and adhere to industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in On-Call.


Desired Background

  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience in the operations of enterprise SaaS network and server infrastructures
  • 3 years of hands on experience with 24x7x365 production sytems.
  • Experience with Linux routing daemons such as FRR, BIRD, and GoBGP/ExaBGP
  • Experince with Juniper Routing solutions including MX routers and L3 routing using Juniper QFX and/or Dell OS10
  • Experince with networing fabrics of K8s such as Calico, etc
  • Extensive background in large-scale network/system engineering environments, including ISPs and Cloud Providers.
  • In-depth expertise in Routing protocols including peering and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring systems like, DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
  • Proficient in high availability concepts and implementation, including redundancy, failover, and load balancing technologies.
  • Additional advantage: Experience in firewall administration, covering configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of appliances like Checkpoint.
