The Role

We’re seeking an experienced software engineer with a strong background in user-space Linux applications and hands-on expertise in Linux kernel development. This is a critical role that plays a key part in our company’s success as we continue to grow. We’re looking for someone eager to dive deep into complex system challenges, take ownership, and make a major impact.

Your Day-to-Day

• Take ownership of key components of our endpoint detection and prevention solution, working within our Linux Agent team
• Design and develop core components using proven technologies while also inventing innovative, low-level solutions
• Participate in architectural design and strategic technical decision-making
• Contribute throughout the development cycle within a SCRUM environment
• Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, backend developers, product managers, and fellow agent developers
• Deliver high-quality, performant code supported by robust unit and integration tests
• Work on kernel-space and user-space integrations essential to our security posture
• Engage with system-level Linux UI interactions, including desktop environment integration, I/O subsystems, X11/Wayland protocols, and display server technologies
  
  

What You Bring to the Team

• 6+ years of experience in C / C++ development – mandatory
• Strong background in Linux Kernel Development (modules, drivers, kernel subsystems) – mandatory
• Proven experience with software design and OOD principles – mandatory
• Solid understanding of multi-threading, synchronization, and concurrency models – mandatory
• Experience with Linux system programming and APIs (syscalls, signals, procfs, netlink, etc.) – mandatory
• Experience building and maintaining system daemons and background services – mandatory
• Familiarity with debugging tools and kernel tracing (gdb, ftrace, perf, crash) – advantage
• Familiarity with Linux security internals, networking stack, or file system development – advantage
• Experience in Linux UI/System interactions – big advantage
• Includes low-level desktop environment integration and system-level UI frameworks
• Familiarity with Linux input/output subsystems, X11/Wayland protocols, and display server technologies
• Understanding of process interaction and window management on Linux platforms
• Experience with Go or Rust – advantage
