Electro-Optics Development Engineer

  • Design and develop electro-optical systems and components.
  • Create advanced experimental setups for the testing and characterization of optical and electro-optical structures.
  • Explore the feasibility of new concepts, perform high-level physical and optical modeling, and conduct in-depth analyses.
  • Conduct experimental lab measurements, analyze results, develop predictive models and error budgets, and effectively communicate findings.
  • Lead multidisciplinary tasks involving cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and system teams.
  • Recommend improvements to system design and manufacturing processes based on performance evaluations and modeling insights.

Requirements:

  • Education:
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ph.D. – an advantage.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in the assembly, calibration, and testing of electro-optical systems.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong foundation in optics and applied physics.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python for modeling, data analysis, and simulation.
  • Experience with optical lab equipment and measurement techniques.
  • Familiarity with complex system integration and characterization.
