About the job:

Qedma is seeking experienced Python developers who thrive on solving tough algorithmic and system design challenges.

In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to the core of our quantum control software—working on a large, sophisticated codebase where correctness, performance, and maintainability matter.

This is not a traditional backend role. You won’t be doing much database work, DevOps, or UI. Instead, you’ll focus on developing intricate logic in Python to orchestrate quantum hardware, optimize quantum circuits, and implement advanced algorithmic flows. You’ll collaborate closely with physicists and engineers to build software that runs in critical quantum computing environments around the world.

About you:

• 5+ years of experience writing production-level Python code in complex systems.
• Strong grasp of algorithms, software architecture, and clean, maintainable code.
• Comfortable reasoning about performance, edge cases, and large-scale system behavior.
• Experience working in cross-disciplinary teams with researchers or domain experts.
• BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field (MSc/PhD a plus)
