About the department

The Data Engineering department is responsible for full-stack design and development of the company's central data & ML services and business platforms. The department is responsible for the overall projects, design, architecture and development of huge scale and very challenging cloud-based Big Data, machine learning and business applicative platforms for ensuring excellence in the performance of business aspects including games & product design, marketing, retention, monetization, etc. Department solutions support the optimization of the company's overall business performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the data solution, technical design and development for Plarium data platform.
• Design, Develop and Operate the data pipelines required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from a wide variety of data sources.
• Build end to end data solutions by translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and build heavily used reports, visualizations and dashboards
• Hands-on development and delivery of BI solutions using BI technologies (Qlik Sense/Looker/Tableau)
• Understand business needs and translate them into BI-based solutions.
• Perform research and POC’s on new data tools and technologies.
• Support Data Science team: Assist in deploying, integrating, and monitoring machine learning / AI models.

What we expect

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Python and SQL – Must
• Expert in writing efficient sql queries and optimize performance (SparkSQL/BigQuery - advantage) - Must
• Experience in developing ETL processes - Must
• Team player with a can-do attitude
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related
• Experience working on cloud solutions AWS and Azure (GCP a big advantage)

Desired

• 4+ years of experience in developing BI dashboards and complex measures in Qlik Sense/Looker/Tableau or other data visualization solutions (Qlik Sense- advantage) - Advantage
• Experience building semantic layer
• Statistic background in the data science area
• Experience working with notebook solutions (Databricks, Jupyter, Zeppelin)
• Experience working in Agile Scrum methodologies
• Analyst / data storytelling experience
